The works involved adding a new skillion roof extension to the rear with a raked ceiling, which integrated into the existing pitched tile roof. This took advantage of northern aspect by catching the sun over the top of neighbouring building, bringing light into the new open plan living, kitchen and bathrooms. The living areas were opened out to new rear paved, terrace giving direct access to the rear garden and reinstated carport and driveway.This home has a strong environmental emphasis incorporating a rainwater tank and horizontal, adjustable louvres to control light and ventilation.
